ABQ collaborative arts, entrepreneurship initiative launches

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – A new cooperative arts and entrepreneurship program between Central New Mexico Community College and the National Hispanic Cultural Center will begin operation in fall 2016.

The National Hispanic Arts Institute & Workshop will offer learning opportunities of both formal and informal presentation and will provide materials to expand both artistic and entrepreneurial experience for artists and students. The facility, located in a 45,000-square-foot warehouse at Avenida Cesar Chavez and 4th Street, will house looms, table saws, screen printers and other equipment.

The cooperative expects 20,000 people each year after the facility becomes fully operational and open to the public in 2017.
